With Ramadan approaching the end of March and people looking for ideas on what to serve during Eid, CSR in collaboration with Mingguan Wanita launched a campaign of Fiesta Home-bakers “Usha-Usha Biskut Raya” on 12th March at Setia City Mall. Riding on the baking trend train, CSR is supporting home-bakers to expand and upskill their baking skills, unlock their entrepreneurial prowess, and take the call of the government’s initiative of #BangkitWanita. Along with empowering home-bakers, CSR reinforces the message to #ConsumeSugarResponsibly in encouraging healthy diets and lifestyles.
The event was open to the public, and over 10,000 Raya cookie samples were distributed to visitors by over 40 home bakers. It also featured various entertainment activities, including a live music performance by Marsha Milan, ambassador of CSR, games, a baking demo by Cik Dayang, founder of Easy Bake Lab, a demo of topping decorations by Puan Nor Arieni Adriena, Battle Biskut Raya Gergasi by culinary students from MSU, FIM and Saito University College, Teka Biskut Raya and many more.
The fiesta continues with the co-sponsor’s event, Adela Margarine, with Chef Azreen’s demonstration in making Pecan Crispy Caramel cookies and Fruttose’s segment with Citra Rasa Fruttose. There were many prizes to be won through Pop Kuiz with CSR, testing participants’ product knowledge on the brand while educating others on our products.
The highlight of the fiesta is the prize-giving ceremony in three categories. Ayu Bakery wins the Best-selling Vendor category. The Kelopak Bakes won The Most Beautiful Booth category. The Most Active Vendor goes to Yums Delicacies. Each winner brought home 36 kg CSR Better Brown Sugar and participation certificates.
