Our Leadership
Head, Group Human Resources Division
Norbaya holds a Masters in Human Resource Development from the University of Hull, UK as well as an MBA from Arkansas State University, USA in addition to over 30 years of experience in the field of HR development and management. Her extensive portfolio includes more than a dozen HR and management related roles across many globally-renowned companies including Sony Technology Malaysia, Ericsson Mobile Communications, Gamuda Group of Companies, Western Digital (M), Freescale (M) and FGV, equipping her with the right calibre to helm the Human Resources department of CSR Malaysia.
Through her admirable background and substantial experience, Norbaya is set to enhance CSR’s human resource development and management, ensuring continued excellence is achieved amongst the team.
Technical Director
Ir. Lim Chin Chuan, an Electrical Engineering graduate from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, has amassed 29 years of experience in Malaysia’s sugar industry. As an accomplished professional, he has served Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd (CSR) in various roles, including Electrical Engineer, Senior General Manager, and Technical Director. Lim was instrumental in enhancing CSR’s production capacity and introducing the only refinery producing liquid sugar and brown sugars for the industry segment.
In 2014, he joined Malayan Sugar Manufacturing (MSM) as Chief Technology Officer, contributing to the design of a new sugar refinery in Johor. Returning to CSR as Deputy CEO in 2015, Lim focused on expanding the company’s product range through R&D to cater to domestic and international customers.
His vast experience spans sugar technology & manufacturing, finance, sales & marketing, procurement, and negotiation with international traders.
Chief Executive Officer
Mohamad Zuki graduated from Lamar University, Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and comes from a background filled with more than 30 years of experience in operations and engineering roles both local and overseas, including the United States and Canada.
His previous tenures include companies under the FGV Group such as FGV Transport Services Sdn Bhd, FGV Johor Bulkers Sdn Bhd, FGV Refinery and Delima Oil Products, TRT ETGO Du Quebec (Canada) and FPG Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd.
Mohamad Zuki brings an unwavering core of dedication and passion to his leadership team, and to CSR as a whole, driving the company towards greater heights.
Chief Operating Officer
Hasmanan Zaquier Salleh graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Management Science University.
Hasmanan has been with CSR for over 25 years, with a total of 27 years of experience in the sugar manufacturing industry. His tenure with CSR and prior entities has afforded him experience in operating five sugar refineries all over Malaysia as well as being heavily involved in the design and commissioning of sugar refineries. His extensive industry experience specifically tuned towards operations, technical and engineering equips him with the knowledge and experience needed to ensure CSR’s operations are conducted efficiently and productively.
Chief Financial Officer
Mohd Azahar Mohd Salleh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance (First-Class Honours) from the University of Aberystwyth in Wales, United Kingdom. He joined CSR in 2019 to oversee Finance, Information Technology and Procurement. To date, his primary responsibility is providing financial leadership in planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities and contributing to strategic business decisions.
Commencing his career path with Sime Darby Berhad in 1994 as a management executive, Azahar continued to build his career in the company for the next 16 years in finance operation and management. He left in 2010 as General Manager, Finance in the Oil & Gas Division of the Group. He also served multinational corporations (“MNC”) such as the Continental Sime Sdn. Bhd. And Goodyear Malaysia Berhad and served another government link corporation (“GLC”) i.e, UMW Group before joining CSR.
Mohd Azahar is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Malaysian Institute of Accountants member.
Director of Corporate Affairs
Rozita Ahmad holds an MBA from the Governor State University of Chicago and brings with her over 30 years of experience in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. Her prodigious experience was accumulated having served in FMCG MNCs such as UNILEVER, Glaxo Smithkline Consumer Healthcare Sdn Bhd and McDonald’s as well as financial institutions like Maybank and Perbadanan Insuran Deposit Malaysia (PIDM). Prior to joining CSR, she served as McDonald’s Malaysia’s Director of Corporate Communications as well as Account Manager with Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Malaysia – an international public relations company.
Rozita’s industry experience brings to CSR proven public relations strategies ensuring that the brand’s story, messaging and communications are conveyed effectively.
