Central Sugars Refinery (CSR) Sdn. Bhd.  Paid business zakat for 2022 amounting to RM3,000,000 to Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS).

The cheque for the amount was presented by CSR’s Chief Executive Officer, Encik Mohamad Zuki Wan Abdullah, to the Sultan of Selangor, DYMM Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, in a Majlis Ihya’ Ramadan 2023 ceremony at Masjid Al Istiqamah, Kayangan Heights, Shah Alam recently.

Meanwhile, CSR contributed RM60,550 to open the SSPN Prime account of 1,010 asnaf students in Klang Valley through Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) in a ceremony at Rumah Anak Yatim dan Hidayah Al-Hijrah, Batu 14, Hulu Langat. Encik Hasmanan Zaquier Salleh, Acting Chief Operating Officer represented CSR at the event.

This initiative is a collaboration between CSR, PTPTN and Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE), a strategic partner in enabling education for underprivileged students since 2018.
