Bubur lambuk is one of the staple foods during Ramadan. Not just its consumption but also cooking the dish is a communal activity imbued in warmth and tradition. As part of the corporate social responsibility program, BERNAS, CSR, and Syarikat Era Bayam Kota Sdn. Bhd. (ERA) donated 1,500 packs of bubur lambuk as iftar meals for members of the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK Selangor) during Ramadan.
The dish based on traditional recipes was cooked collaboratively by more than 30 BERNAS, CSR, and ERA staff in the compounds of Surau Khalid Al-Walid, IPK Selangor. The handover ceremony was held with Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed, before the distribution to Selangor IPK members. Also present were Selangor Deputy Chief of Police, Datuk Shahrul Laili Masduki, and CSR Chief Financial Officer, Mohd Azahar Mohd Salleh.
The program is a gesture of gratitude for the commitment and dedications of the police force during the COVID-19 pandemic. This program will help to foster good values among the communities as well as boost morale during the holy month of Ramadan.
