Referring to the sharing that went viral on social media regarding the conditional purchase of standard sugar and clear sugar (gula jernih) in the market, Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd (CSR) would like to clarify that we do not issue or set any such conditions to wholesalers and retailers.

CSR emphasises that consumers do not need to purchase clear sugar (gula jernih) to obtain standard sugar; they are free to choose according to their needs and wants.

CSR also advises consumers to be vigilant and report any such sales activities to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) on the toll-free line 1-800-866-800.
