Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd has three main pillars of Corporate Social Responsibility. We focus on helping the orphanages, the dialysis centres and the homeless.

We have been working closely with Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE) under the patronage of HRH Sultan Selangor, Duli Yang Maha Mulia (DYMM) Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj to carry out our CSR pillars for orphanage and dialysis centres. In 2020, we sponsored the construction of a surau costing RM 1.3million for Kompleks Anak Yatim Pulau Indah as well as RM 170,000 for the ‘Jom Sekolah 2021’ program for 17 orphanages in Selangor. We worked with Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN) in sending the youth from the homeless communities for vocational training at Giat Mara centres in preparation for employment. We sponsored dialysis machines for dialysis centres in Selangor so that those in need have access to such facilities.

We strive to make a difference towards many deserving communities. We also go the extra mile by partnering with National Diabetes Institute (NADI) in promoting healthy lifestyle through ‘Promote Healthy Lifestyle, Fight Diabetes’ campaign. Through the initiative, CSR joins NADI in educating the rural and urban Malaysian community through roadshows and health screenings all over the country. CSR also sponsored a mobile clinic for NADI to allow NADI to provide a move comfortable setting for health screenings for the public during roadshows.
